Sarah Pires, Psy.D.
Dr. Pires is a licensed psychologist at Connecticut Behavioral Health. She received both her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Practices from the University of Hartford, specializing in children, adolescents and families. Her clinical training emphasized evidence-based interventions in individual, family, and group psychotherapy as well as psychological evaluation. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Ulster County Department of Mental Health, a community mental health clinic, where she provided outpatient psychotherapy and psychological assessments for children and adolescents, as well as court-ordered risk assessments for youth and adult sexual offenders. Dr. Pires has worked with children and adolescents in school settings, as well as in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, outpatient clinic, and residential treatment facility. She has also furthered her training to work with adults in a college counseling center and community mental health clinic. Dr. Pires has experience treating various emotional and behavioral concerns as well as trauma, bereavement, and loss.
