Ms. Waz grew up in Middlefield, Connecticut and began working in the field of behavior analysis during her undergraduate degree as a respite worker for families in need. After her bachelors, Ms. Waz worked for a couple years in a local school district as a line therapist doing discrete trial instruction and classroom integration. From there, Ms. Waz moved to Chicago, IL and attended the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she lived and attended school for almost 8 years. Ms. Waz graduated with her Master of the Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010, passed the national BACB exam in 2010, and has maintained certification ever since. Ms. Waz completed all the coursework for her PhD before moving back to Connecticut. Upon arrival in CT, Ms. Waz started a branch of an IL company and managed the administrative, clinical, and operational functioning of this branch. Thanks to the experiences in this position, Ms. Waz realized she could be successful on her own. This is when Connecticut Behavioral Consultants, LLC was born. CBC was around for a couple years providing services to schools and families across the state before CBC merged with CT Behavioral Health in October 2018.
