Dr. Kimberly Citron

Director of Assessment and Forensic Services

Dr. Kimberly Citron is a licensed clinical psychologist with a forensic sub-specialty. Dr. Citron is originally from New York, where she trained in a variety of clinical settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents, as well as forensic settings including The Forensic Panel and Smart Parenting: The Family Center. Her dissertation examined the risk and protective factors for children and adolescents experiencing a high conflict divorce. Dr. Citron completed her pre-doctoral internship in a community mental health setting at Community Services Institute in Springfield, MA.. Dr. Citron then completed her post-doctoral fellowhship at Clinical & Support Options, Inc., where she conducted FBA’s, psychological assessments, parenting evaluations for DCF, and intensive in-home behavior therapy for children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Dr. Citron then became licensed in Connecticut, where she joined Community Health Center, Inc. as a behavioral health clinician. Most recently she served as CHCI’s director of domestic violence services, research and education. Dr. Citron has supervised post doctoral residents for four years. Dr. Citron specializes in the provision of trauma-informed care for a range of behavioral health problems including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, life transitions, trauma, and health problems. Dr. Citron’s theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioral therapy, and she is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Citron joins CBH as the Director of Forensic Psychology Services with a focus on the application of her clinical skills to the assessment, treatment, and evaluation of forensic matters presented to the agency.
