Dr. Kimberly Zito
Licensed Psychologist, Director of School Avoidance and Support Services
Dr. Zito is a licensed clinical psychologist, certified school psychologist, and the Director of School Avoidance and Support Services at Connecticut Behavioral Health. Dr. Zito earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology and MA in Clinical Practices from the University of Hartford. Prior to receiving her doctorate, Dr. Zito earned her MS in School Psychology from St. John’s University. Dr. Zito completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at South Shore Mental Health and a clinical residency at Connecticut Behavioral Health. Dr. Zito has worked within a variety of clinical settings including residential and acute inpatient hospitals, private outpatient and community-based public clinics, and therapeutic day schools. Additionally, Dr. Zito has had extensive experience assessing individuals across the lifespan within a wide range of areas including: emotional symptoms and significant psychiatric concerns, attentional and executive functioning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and learning challenges. Dr. Zito’s school psychology and clinical training experiences have afforded her the opportunities to develop expertise in consultation for both educational services and social and emotional needs.
