Kristan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who uses a strength based, restorative approach to therapy. With a compassionate style, Kristan works creatively and collaboratively with others, helping them to explore and express their feelings, identify internal strengths and utilize those strengths to decrease vulnerabilities with the hope to conquer those weaknesses and experience a sense of relief and hope for a better tomorrow. Kristan is an experienced clinician that would like to help guide you on your journey for change and individual growth in a safe and respected environment. Kristan has a Masters of Social Work degree from Southern Connecticut State University and received her Bachelor’s in Social Work there also. Kristan has experience working with teenagers in residential homes in the care of the Department of Children and Families, long term care for the elderly population; focusing on aging issues, grief, loss, death and dying. Kristan has experience working with IICAPS (Intensive in-home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services). Kristan has a successful private practice for the past 11 years and joined CBH to extend her therapeutic interventions to children in the school setting. With 20 years of experience in the field, Kristan has learned that individuals as a single unit and as a part of a family display many qualities of resiliency, interpersonal and family strengths. With her support, in a strength based, solution focused approach, clients have mastered goals they have set.

In her free time, Kristan is a devoted wife and mother to her three children. She enjoys cheering them on at their sporting events and coaches her daughter’s soccer team. Besides her children’s sporting events she enjoys rooting for the METS and UCONN basketball. Kristan enjoys DIY projects, cooking, listening to music and spending time with friends and family.
